The HNEC Board discussed the electoral awareness plans and the role of civil society organizations in enhancing the participation of citizens during the upcoming elections. This was the topic of discussion during the meeting held by HNEC Chairman Dr. Emad Al-Sayah, with the Chairman of the
Commission of Civil Society Organizations and its Executive Director, at HNEC Headquarters.

During the meeting, they reviewed the HNEC’s electoral awareness plans and the programs that civil society organizations can implement, as a key partner with HNEC; since they have national responsibilities to raise the electoral awareness. Further, they discussed the concept of electoral observation and the mechanisms of observers training, providing them with the necessary expertise to participate in the electoral process, in order to enhance elections credibility and integrity.
