On Sunday, March 28th, 2021, The HNEC Chairman, Dr. Emad Al-Sayah welcomed H.E. Mr. Giuseppe Puccini, the Italian Ambassador to Libya, and his accompanying delegation, at the office of the HNEC Board.
During the meeting, they reviewed HNEC preparations for the electoral event scheduled in December 24th, 2021. H.E. Mr. Puccini expressed his country’s readiness to support this critical stage in the history of Libya and discussed the support and expertise that can be provided in the field of election management and implementation. The visit was concluded by the signing ceremony of the support agreement for “PEPOL” project; which was signed with the United Nations Development Program, represented by H.E. Mr. Gerardo Noto, the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program.
