HNEC Chairman, Dr. Emad Al-Sayah, welcomed H.E Mr. Gerardo Noto, the Resident Representative of UNDP in Libya, today, March16, 2021, at the Headquarters of the Commission.
During the meeting, they discussed ways of cooperation between the two institutions, in order to support the HNEC in its preparations for the upcoming elections in December 24th, 2021, and the meeting was concluded by signing the minutes of the extension of the project: Supporting Elections for the Peoples of Libya, PEPOL, until the end of December 2021.
This meeting comes within the framework of the persistent international support for the preparations of the High National Elections Commission to conduct the next elections in accordance with the internationally recognized standards so that they are credible, transparent and comprehensive.
