On Sunday, February 28th, 2021, HNEC Chairman Dr. Emad Al-Sayah, held a meeting at HNEC Headquarters, to follow up the developments of the electronic voter card, HNEC plans to issue in preparation for the upcoming election.
The session was attended by the Commissioner, Mr. Abdulhakim Al-Shaab, UNSMIL electoral experts, the Head of Operations Department Mr. Sadiq Al-Zakkar and the Head of the IT Department, Mr. Al-Zubair Aborwais.
During the meeting, they discussed the preparations for the production of the electoral card and the technical and advisory support provided by the United Nations. They also reviewed the internationally applicable standards, the implementation mechanism, and the most important features available in the samples provided by the working group of HNEC.
