During the third meeting of the Constitutional Committee, held in Hurghada, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the HNEC Chairman Dr. Emad Al-Sayah, expressed his hope that the Constitutional Committee would consider the technical and time frame work required for the upcoming electoral events.
The participation of the HNEC Chairman and the Commissioner Mr. Abdulhakim Al-Shaab, is in response to the invitation of the Constitutional Committee for HNEC Board, to explain the technical aspects and time frame work needed for the constitutional process, the referendum on the draft constitution, as well as the mechanism and procedures needed for the Presidential and Parliamentary electoral process, to be held in December 24th, 2021.
During the meeting, HNEC Board discussed and responded to all inquiries and questions raised by members of the Constitutional Committee, confirming the Commission’s readiness to conduct and implement the upcoming electoral events, in accordance with standards of integrity and transparency, taking into account the technical considerations that guarantee the citizen’s right to access the ballot boxes.
In Tuesday, Nov 9th, 2021, the city of Hurghada, in the Arab Republic of Egypt, witnessed the start of the third meeting of the Constitutional Committee, consisting of the delegations of the House of Representatives and the High Council of State (10 +10), in the presence of HNEC Board and the participation of the new UN envoy, Mr. Jan Kubis, through the internet.
