The HNEC Chairman Dr. Emad Al-Sayah, welcomed today, Sunday, January 24th, 2021, the Deputy Head of UK Mission to Libya, H.E. Fleur Willson at the HNEC Headquarters.
During the meeting, which was attended by HNEC Board Member Mr. Abdulhakim Al-Shaab, they reviewed the HNEC’s preparations and readiness to implement the elections scheduled to be held in December 24th, of this year.
From her side, H.E. Fleur Willson praised the efforts made by the HNEC and its leadership to provide appropriate conditions for holding elections, in accordance with international standards which are adopted by HNEC.
This visit comes within the framework of the international Community support to the democratic track in Libya, to check the preparations and readiness of HNEC to implement the upcoming electoral processes, exploring what could be provided in terms of expertise and support in managing and implementing elections.
