With the participation of the High National Elections Commission, the activities of the International Conference on “Elections and the Challenges of Democratic Transition” will be launched on February 18-19, which is organized and supervised by the Organization of the Arab Electoral Management Bodies, in cooperation with the European Center for Middle East Studies.

The High National Elections Commission represented by its Board Member Mr. Abd Al-Hakim Al-Shaab, is honored to assume the duties of the conference’s vice president.
It is worth mentioning that the Organization of the Arab Electoral Management Bodies was established with the initiative that was presented during a regional meeting in Jordan, years ago, and was officially launched in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, in 2015, with Dr. Emad Al-Sayah, HNEC Chairman as the Chairman of the Arab EMBs. It is considered the first professional organization in the region, concerned with strengthening regional cooperation in the field of election management
