In the presence of the HNEC Chairman, Dr. Emad Al-Sayah, the United Nations Development Program, signed with the German Government, today, Monday, January 18th, 2021, at the HNEC Headquarters, in Tripoli, an agreement to support the project “PEPOL”, with the aim of providing technical and advisory support, supervised by the United Nations Mission.
From UNDP side, the Country Director, H.E. Mr. Gerardo Noto, signed the agreement, while from the German Government side, the German Ambassador to Libya, H.E. Mr. Oliver Owcza, signed the Agreement. The signing ceremony was attended by HNEC Board Member, Mr. Abdulhakim Al-Shaab.
The objective of the agreement is to get an advantage from the support provided by the “PEPOL” Project; the project that is supervised by the United Nations Development Program, with regards to the maintenance of some facilities and buildings at the HNEC Headquarters, to overcome the obstacles that may face the preparation process, and to invest the available resources with all parties to bring success to the upcoming elections in December of this year.
