The member of the Board of the High National Elections Commission, Mr. Abdul Hakim Al-Chaab, held a meeting on Wednesday with the Heads of Departments of the Commission, where he followed up with the procedures for arranging the internal house of the Commission in preparation for the implementation of the expected electoral event in 2021.

The meeting, which was held in the presence of the Director General of the Commission, Dr. Yahya Al-Jadid, included following up on the level of administrative and technical organization of the Electoral Administration Offices in the regions and municipalities, as well as monitoring their actual staffing requirements within the offices, and the extent to which local expertise could be used in the implementation of the declared elections.

The Commission had previously announced its commitment to implementing Resolution No. 581 of 2020 issued by the Presidential Council, which mandated the allocation of a budget for the implementation of the presidential and parliamentary elections scheduled for December 24, 2021.
