The Chairman of the High National Elections Commission, Dr. Emad Al-Sayeh, discussed with the British ambassador to Libya, Mr. Nicholas Hopton, the technical and advisory support provided through the “PEPOL” project, which implementation is supervised by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
This came in a meeting held by the Chairman of the HNEC with the British ambassador and his accompanying delegation, at the Commission’s headquarters in Tripoli on Thursday the 3rd of December, 2020.
During the meeting, they reviewed the Commission’s preparations and level of readiness to implement the upcoming electoral processes scheduled for 2021, in addition to the evolution of the electoral process in Libya, starting from the election of the General National Congress until the election of the House of Representatives.
