The High National Elections Commission in Benghazi held on Saturday a dialogue session on the role of the media in enhancing electoral participation, in the presence of Mr. Abu Bakr Marda, the member of the Board of Commissioners.

The session, which was held under the supervision of the Electoral Administration Office of Benghazi, with the participation of a number of media personalities, professors of media faculties in Libyan universities, and an elite of those interested in the electoral affairs in the city of Benghazi, covered a range of the major topics that deal with the importance of the media in all stages of the electoral process and the aspects of cooperation and nature of relation between the Commission and media institutions.

This dialogue session comes within a series of activities carried out by the HNEC through its Public Outreach & External Relations Department, and its Electoral Offices in the southern, eastern and western regions, as part of its preparations for the implementation of the next elections scheduled for December 24, 2021.
