The High National Elections Commission organized a dialogue session in Dar al-Kitab in Zawiya City on the role of the media in promoting electoral participation, attended by various media figures and Professors in Media Faculties of Libyan universities.

The session, which was convened under the supervision of the Electoral Administration Office of Al-Zawiya, covered a number of themes that explore the importance of the media in the electoral process and the impact of its presence during all stages, as well as strengthening the networking opportunities between the Commission and media outlets, as they are key partners when it comes to promoting electoral awareness among citizens.

This dialogue session comes as part of a series of awareness programmes and activities implemented by the High National Elections Commission through its main administration and offices in the southern, eastern and western regions and municipalities of the country, in the context of its early preparations for the implementation of any anticipated election event.
