The High National Elections Commission continued, on Sunday at its headquarters in Tripoli, its regular meetings regarding the issuance of the E-Voter Card project.

The meeting, which was held in the presence of HNEC Chairman, Dr. Emad Al-Sayah, and the Head of Operations Department, Mr. Sadiq Al-Zakkar, included a review of the proposals submitted by the assigned working team, in addition to the most important features in the expected samples in terms of shape and content, and technical details related to implementation.

Dr. Al-Sayah, during his follow-up to the preparations for issuing the E-Voter Card, indicated that this project comes in the context of the Commission’s preparations to enhance its readiness to conduct any upcoming electoral process.

The first meeting on this project was held at the end of last August, in which the general concept of the Card Project was discussed as a smart document that will guarantee voter participation in accordance with the highest standards of integrity.
