The Chairman of the High National Elections Commission, Dr. Imad Al-Sayah, reviewed in a meeting held on Sunday, July 5th, 2020, with the Chairman of the Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord, Mr. Fayez Al-Serraj, the level of readiness of the High National Elections Commission to implement the electoral processes that could be decided by any political settlement in the future.
The meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the Presidential Council in Tripoli, discussed the scale of technical and financial needs required to ensure the performance of the commission in accordance with national and international standards, as well as benefiting from the expertise working in the field of elections at the regional and global levels.
This is the second meeting of its type, as the Chairman of the commission, Dr. Al-Sayah has met the Chairman of the Presidential Council Mr. Al-Serraj, at the beginning of June where he briefed him on the level of the commission’s readiness and the scale of technical and financial requirements needed to implement the tasks entrusted to it.
