Arab League observation team announced, in a press conference, that the elections of the National Congress were fair, honest and transparent and were conducted according the international principles of elections. They praised the effective participation of women, the elderly and people with special needs in the elections.
The team, which is headed by his Excellency, Mr. Mohammed Alkhamleesy, confirmed that Libyans were totally free to exercise their electoral rights to choose their candidates without any pressures or obstacles. The team also provided a statement with respect to all the comments that have been observed from the pros and cons.
It is mentioned that Arab League team consists of 15 observers from 9 Arab nationalities, observed the polling in 6 constituencies and watched counting and sorting process in 11 polling stations
