Conditions of candidate application:

The candidates of the General National Congress should have the following conditions:

1- Should be a Libyan national.
2- Should be over the age of 21 in the day of application.
3- Should have the ability to read and write.
4- Should have the conditions of a candidate.
5- Should not be previously convicted of a felony or misdemeanour involving turpitude, unless rehabilitated.
6- Should not be a member of the NTC or the Transitional Government or a previous member of the Executive Bureau or a Head of a Local Counsel.
7- Should not be a member of the High Commission or one of its subcommittees or should not be a member of the registration and counting centers.
8- Should be approved by the High Authority for Integrity and Patriotism.
